I was recently checking on release info for samurai deeper kyo (more on him in a minute) on anime castle when i came across some disturbing information. starting next year, shonen jump will be releasing One Piece (currently me fav manga)at 5 vol a month between jan-june. i was so thrilled, until i saw the price. $9.99. O_O they used to be $7.95. Needless to say, I'm PISSED! SJ has always been my favorite distributor not just for entertaining stories but affordable prices. now, on top of shaman king and naruto,(all the titles are going up) i have to pay the 2 extra dollars for each one piece that comes out per month. i don't want to give up being a manga fan, but i might have to give it up once the series i have ends.

this is how the economy screws everyone. tokyopop is restructuring, free online manga sites are popping up all over the internet like weeds, and anime(as my buddy KG told me once) is singing it's swan song. SJ took advantage during the confusion and jacked up the prices. in short, it took one the best moments of my manga collecting life and shat on it. sorry for the language but that's how i feel.

oh, and about SDK? Tokyopop dropped it. O_O Del Rey picked it up and is going to finish the rest of the series. Del Rey is WORSE than tokyopop about it's prices.

well i gotta go to work. gotta pay for one piece somehow
